We contacted them in spring 2020 as our renewal was to come up in July. By June 12 we had submitted the application. There were a few confusing parts, such as my income (I don't have any) so they told me to put $1. $0 was not an option. So these questions caused significant delays. Once the application was submitted, several days later we received an email asking about my husbands pay, is that every month they asked. They ask you on the application to submit A recent bank statement with the payroll highlighted. No where does it give you an option to say it is monthly. So this delayed us even further. Then they came back and stated that the lender wants confirmation of my self status on my bureau? (I have no idea what that means) "Even if we are not using her income." I don't have an income so I reminded them what they told me to do on the application. Then the lender came back and asked for my Notice of Assessment from 2019 so they could confirm I didn't owe any back taxes!! They didn't ask my husband for his. I have never been asked this question on any other mortgage application. Remember, this was a renewal, not a new buy. This is when it started to go really down hill. The application came back approved. We were given the wrong term, and they gave us 4 business dates to meet all the stipulations, including my notice of assessment. I contacted them immediately as Canada Day was in the middle of all this and would cause further delays. I contacted them immediately and asked that email be sent as that was the easiest communication. I received a voicemail from Danny, explaining that he figured out the issue. I texted him and emailed him and asked him to please email the information. Nothing. Silence. He never responded. No one from the team did. We sent a message on June 30 asking to withdraw our application. We still have not received acknowledgment. Our experience was positive in the beginning, but extremely unprofessional in the end.
