Avoid at all costs! Do NOT use this place under any circumstances! I left my car for a service and MOT. The car failed the MOT, I needed new tyres, and a CV boot clamp had slipped off — they couldn’t even sort out tyres on time, so my car was stuck there for several days. For fixing the CV boot I was charged £230 — an absolutely outrageous price for a job that takes just a few minutes. They only put on a new clamp, and they did it so badly that it slipped off again. I had to drive back 20 minutes after picking up the car so they could fix their own mistake. Unbelievable! Instead of properly servicing the car and identifying potential faults first — which is literally the point of a service — they went ahead and did the MOT test first, which of course resulted in an immediate MOT failure. Because of this, I cannot reclaim any repair costs from my warranty provider. The car failed its MOT, and my policy doesn’t cover that. Had they checked the car during the service before running the MOT, the warranty would have covered the necessary repairs. I asked for budget tyres, and instead I was given cheap no-name Chinese tyres priced as if they were mid-range! On top of that, they added tyre warranties without even asking me — £10 per tyre — completely without my consent! In their recommendations, they told me my battery wasn’t holding voltage due to age and needed replacement. They wanted me to replace a battery that I changed six months ago, from a well-known premium brand! Six months old, and they claim it’s worn out? For a fuel filter replacement they want £184, when the part itself costs about £20 from the main dealer. The job takes 15 minutes! For rear brake discs and pads they want over £300, even though the parts cost around £80. Prices from another planet!!! Customer service is terrible, and the quality of the work is absolutely appalling! Go to your local mechanic instead. They will definitely treat your car better — and for a fair price.

Visiting this autocentre a few months ago, while the tyre was successfully changed and was competitively priced, the experience was marred by the rudeness of various staff members. It was assumed that this was a one off and did not feel compelled to write a review. However, visiting this week was met with a similar level discourteous behavior. Checking other reviews of this branch, bad manners seems to be flagged up by some others. However, it would be harsh to give one star as these people are able to successfully change a tyre…albeit lacking with any charm.

Four new tyres were fitted but two issues arose after the job was completed. The steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake were covered in grease which I had to clean with wipes. More concerningly, all four tyres were under-inflated and a warning light came on shortly after driving off. The service was unsatisfactory and requires significant improvement.
