Customer experiences
These guys are the best! We were in town only for a week and had the option of 1 week membership (which is fantastic). Today, I decided to lock all of my belongings in the locker including the Master Lock key. Aaron and his staff did everything they could to break into the locker. Bolt cutters, hack saw, new bolt cutters. Finally I was able to borrow a grinder from Cap it and a friend of the owners (Paul?) had the gear to cut the lock. Above and beyond service. Highly recommend. Thank you!
They want $30 for a day pass here. Sadly, I had no other options. I encourage all walk ins to leave a 1 star review to penalize this greedy business. There is room for another gym in Squamish, that’s for sure.
I have been a member at Mountain Fitness for 6 years and I can honestly say it’s the best environment to train, stay healthy and be in community. The gym itself has everything you need and more to strength train, cardio, functional train and also recover. The layout allows classes to take place without disrupting any individuals workout. Aside from the high quality equipment, fantastic layout and where the gym is located, the environment the management and training team have created is welcoming, fun, encouraging and safe. The staff are friendly and the management team, including Chris go above and beyond to ensure you can get everything you need out of your training journey. I have met many friends at Mountain Fitness that are now life long friends. The fun and friendly environment at the gym allows you to meet likeminded people. The views during the summer are spectacular, when the doors are all open you get floor to ceiling views of the surrounding mountains. I want to thank Chris and the Mountain Fitness team for continuing to run the best gym in town!
Some of the staff are super friendly and remember your name - however some of the new staff are more interested in their phones than even acknowledging you and saying hello when you walk in the door. The cleanliness of the gym has also gone downhill significantly - I brought up to the managers that there were peanuts and other dirt in the lockers, over an inch of dust on some of the fans and upper ledges, and grime building up from sweat on the ellipticals. Also, that generally when being one of the first people in the gym, there is no soap in the dispensers (which is gross to think of how many users don’t wash their hands before working out again) The manager apologized and said they would take care of it, however, over a year passed, and none of the issues were addressed, except for the fans and getting half wiped down. When I brought up the Poor customer service one of the managers indicated it was their child and asked me if I would rather have the Poor service or the gym closed. After that interaction with the manager - I decided to leave Mountain Fitness. Also, the fact that the trainers are contractors leads to an interesting dynamic in the gym at times - wear some trainers are very friendly and others are in town, right disrespectful and dismissive. With new management, this gym could be 10/10 - but it is clear that the manager is burnt out.
Mountain Fitness Center is a gym.
