Extremely disappointing dinner experience at Hawksmoor, the service was far from what we expected. They initially gave us the lunch menu, and when I asked to change it, the waiter argued that the lunch and dinner menus were “similar.” After further questioning, he finally agreed to give us the dinner menu, which had dishes like Nancy’s Wellington that were missing from the lunch menu. Despite informing them in advance about a dairy allergy, the waiter initially recommended only dairy-containing sides. Staff never checked if we had run out of water and did not offer any refills, even though the food was very salty. No acknowledgment of the birthday celebration, despite mentioning it when booking. After paying, we waited for a long time to have our card collected. Despite our table being right next to the cashier station, no one came to attend to us. We were completely ignored. We ordered 34 oz Porterhouse, 14 oz Rib-eye, 14 oz Strip, Vermont smoked bacon, and beef fat fries. The steaks were cooked well, but the beef flavor wasn’t strong. The bacon was too salty, and the fries were just okay. This could have been a perfect birthday dinner, but the poor service ruined the experience. Would not recommend.

We had the Sunday Roast at Hawksmoor NYC at 2 PM during the busiest part of the day, and right when things should have gone off the rails, their computers went down. But honestly, you wouldn’t have even noticed. The team absolutely crushed it. Service was smooth, the staff didn’t miss a beat, and everything came out flawlessly. No stress, no chaos, just pros doing what they do best. Now the food. Unreal. The beef was cooked to perfection, insanely tender and packed with flavor. The Yorkshire puddings were massive and crispy, the roast potatoes were golden and addictive, and the gravy tied it all together like a dream. Every bite was comfort food at its absolute peak. Even with tech issues, Hawksmoor didn’t just hold it together they delivered one of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and book a table.

This place has been on my list for a while. Made reservations for 5:30 PM but we ended up arriving earlier since we had other obligations later that evening. We arrived and were greeted by two staffers. They had trouble explaining the menu and one of them seemed frustrated that we asked about their “Sunday brunch/cuts”. We were seated at the bar since their main dining room was “full” we took a look and found some empty seats well into the afternoon nonetheless we sat at the bar and ordered our drinks and meals. Our drinks were very good, our bartender and server were friendly but often times appeared overwhelmed. By the end of the night she did spill an entire glass of water on me. We were comped one dessert dish but I was completely soaked from the knees down. One of our meat dishes was overcooked while the other was a bit undercooked. The ribeye was relatively chewy and not cooked at medium rare. The mash potatoes were a bit stiff and not soft and buttery. The bar area was pleasant and the colors all Blended in to create a calm dining experience. The experience was overall good. Management should consider training the staff on how to politely and nicely explain the variety of menus. The fries were really good. Were paired well with the meat. Overall a 4 star experience. Bathrooms are not accessible since they are located in the basement.

My wife and I went here recently during a trip to NYC and we were not disappointed. We started off with drinks in the bar until our table was ready (they were delicious). Once we got to our table to sit down, we started with the scallops and bone marrow. The scallops were melt in your mouth good and the bone marrow was rich and savory. We ordered the 20 Oz chateaubriand (plenty for 2 people), mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. After our meal, we shared the sticky toffee sundae and we both said it was the best dessert we had the entire week. The service was phenomenal and I love their relaxed dress code. It is a place where you can be comfortable and enjoy a great meal. Would recommend for anyone looking for a great place to get an amazing steak with a great atmosphere.
