I tried the restaurant week menu recently. It was a bit of a chaotic day. I was held up by work and late for the reservation, and I had a concert to go to afterwards, so I only had just over 45 minutes of dining time. The waiters and waitresses were really accommodating, ensuring I had the full experience but also made it to the concert on time. I had the snow crab as an appetizer. To be honest I'm not entirely impressed by this... There wasn't a lot of snow crab but there were lots of jelly fish and fruit. The flavor was complicated... The salmon over rice was my favorite dish. I like the addition of crispy rice - they really add to the flavor once mixed up. The rice bed below the salmon was soft and warm. The quality of the salmon was not superb but passable. Dessert was a bit too sweet but I liked the salted caramel ice cream.
Checked this place out for restaurant week with a friend and it did not disappoint! It is located below the Rockefeller ice rink level and the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. All the food was prepared with perfection, especially the dessert, which was almost too pretty to eat. Service was great and our server was very knowledgeable of the food and cocktail (offering good recommendation). Definitely recommend and will most likely come back for date night :)
Tasty, creative dishes inspired by Korean ingredients and traditions. I had two appetizers, one main, and no dessert, and that was plenty of varied and delicious food. Expensive, of course, but worth it. With the appetizers, their pilsner was very good, but I made the mistake of having pilsner with the main, which was a mistake. The server suggested red wine, which was much better. In the European tradition of hospitality, they would have comp'ed me the (half-drunk) second glass of beer, but I guess that's not US-style service. Servers were friendly and efficient.
I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The braised pork and duck dishes were truly exceptional, flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. Unlike other fine dining Korean restaurants, this place stands out for its authentic, deeply Korean flavors that make you feel like you’re experiencing traditional cuisine with a modern twist. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and professional—and the ambiance was elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Korean fine dining experience. A true gem!
