The owner Christina was friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the different bases and had some beautiful samples and kits. I was very tempted by her colour choices for a night shift shawl even though I have some picked out already. I loved how supportive she is of other local businesses. In a small town where everyone knows your name, or conversely doesn't know your name, they introduce themselves and Christina did just that when she saw me browsing in her shop. It was such a nice gesture. But in addition to that her shop has so many great fabrics and yarns!
This one is special because the owner is special. A great place to visit if you like to quilt or knit. The owner is starting to do some hand dying of yarns with a Northern Ontario flair. I bought a yarn called trout. It is beautiful and squishy. I can't wait to start knitting with it. It is far to travel, but if you have the time it can be worth it.
