Amazing service. Shayna was exceptional. Came in with a yellow blonde, desiring a platinum blonde. She was extremely careful and took her time, which was well appreciated. All the girls in the store were extremely friendly and pleasant. They also squeezed my friend in for highlights last minute. Could not have asked for better results, beyond happy.
SHAYNA finished my trim & blow-out looking like a drowned rat! My hair was plastered to my head (and I have wavy heair)! I was so embarrested to be seen at the checkout counter. And I paid $75 for a TRIM by a "supposed" top notch beautician!! She had absolutely NO SENSE OF STYLE at all & is the WORST beautician I've ever had. Warning - do NOT ever book an appointment with her, or you may be left looking like a mess. And all the while, she PRETENDED to like me and flatter me and encouraged me to talk, when she obviously DID NOT believe a word she was saying, or she wouldn't have left me looking so ugly. Buyer beware! _______________________________________ Shimmers respoinse to my complaint is a COMPLETE LIE!! I came in on 6/20/25 without an appointment and asked if anyone was free to do a trim. They said "You're in luck. Our top stylist is free and can do your trim." I asked how much it will cost - answer - $65. And they even had me fill out a form with my details on it. OWNER - check you receipts for that day (I was in about noon) and check your appointment book for Shayna's client name. I even tipped her $10 after the mess she made me look. Everything I said previously is completely true, and the manager IS LIEING! - to try to keep her star-rating up. Shayna obviously has her favorite clients who give her good ratings - just be aware, if you go to her for a first appointment, who knows what you'll end up looking like. _______________________________________________________________ Glad to see that so many others had a bad experience at this salon. A word to the MANAGER: Instead of insulting your clients by accusing them of falsifying their bad review and denying they even came to your salon (which is completely unprofessional and frankly insulting!) - it would serve you better to simply apologize to them for having a bad experience, and maybe even offering them a small refund (in my case my $10 tip) to compensate; or even a small discount on their next haircut. Instead, you are going to LOOSE even more first time customers due to your ZERO STAR customer service. You are giving the Shimmer franchise a bad name - owners take note! I have nothing more to say on this matter. Despite loosing $75 on this fiasco, I had to shell out more money to go elsewhere to have my trimmed properly. You would think a simple one-length trim, straight around wouldn't be that difficult. But Shayna stuck to her one inch trim, straight around, irregardless of whether the back needed at least one & a half inches off. This salon is WAY overpriced for the quality of service.
Absolutely fabulous work. Shayna is so good at what she does she took her time. She didn’t rush through me. I was a last-minute appointment and she took me with no issues. She transformed my hair and made me feel absolutely beautiful again. I cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work and your time. Highly highly recommend this salon.
I’ve had a bad back for at least 20 years — knots and lower back pain. So, I’ve used maybe two dozen massage therapists over that time. All of them could tell where the issues were by feel. Almost all of them use their forearms or elbows to pressure the knots into releasing. Selena primarily uses her strong hands instead, for a much more pleasant but still effective experience. I think she is the best I’ve ever had.
