NFU Mutual Winchester

The service at NFU must be second to none. Many years ago, more years ago than I can remember or wish to remember, I made a small claim with an insurance company whose name I have forgotten. The claim was eventually settled but not until I had amassed a file of letters spanning more than 6 months. It was, of course, the old trick of trying to wear the claimant out. I decided to persevere and eventually sent the whole file to the Insurance Ombudsman whereupon the claim was settled without so much as another letter. This has obviously coloured my view of insurers whose only mission in life seems to be to collect ever increasing premiums and to avoid claims at any cost. I have recently made a claim with NFU and I have to say that they have restored my faith entirely. From the very first contact to settlement, the process was handled with complete courtesy and settled in a matter of days. I would have no hesitation in recommending NFU for all insurance needs.
