Norton & Schmidt has been my go to for structural reviews for years. They have a great reputation within the real estate community. While they are not the least expensive, they are trustworthy. I have referred them to clients and also used them personally. Ed Hutson & Dan Thorman are excellent.
Revised review. There was a miscommunication between myself and staff. I had attempted to cancel the appointment, but the message didn't get relayed and someone showed up. He was very upset. The company has since apologized, and as a result, I feel it's only fair to update my review.
Once this company has been paid, they will have nothing to do with corrections to their work or answers to any questions you may have in regards to their work. I requested corrections and clarifications the day I paid and heard nothing for two weeks until I contacted the company again and I was told they were less busy and would help me. Several weeks after that I still have heard nothing.
