Locke St. Tire is a super friendly and honest neighborhood shop. Heather who works at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. I had one flat tire and drove in to get it fixed. K came out right away to test the tire to find out the leak. He came back telling me that the tire is fine and put in the right pressure for me. I thought I would be charged for the time and effort they put in. But I am happy to find out that they just spent 30 mins on my tire as a free service. A very trust-worthy and service-focused shop. I will definitely come back and highly recommend them to others.

I am disappointed with my ongoing experience at Locke Street Tire and Automotive regarding repeated A/C repairs. On May 21, I paid $233.22 for air conditioning service. Shortly after, the A/C stopped working. On October 27, I returned and paid $372.34 for replacement of the A/C compressor. Again, the air conditioning failed shortly after. Most recently, I paid $403.46 for additional A/C work, including replacing an A/C hose, O-rings, and evacuating and recharging the system. Once again, the A/C stopped working within the warranty period. When I returned and requested the issue to be addressed under the stated warranty (90 days / 3,000 km), I was told this would be considered a “new service” and that I would need to pay again. No clear technical explanation or evidence was provided showing that the failure was unrelated to the previous repairs. I did not authorize further work, as I believe the issue should have been properly diagnosed and resolved under warranty. After multiple payments for the same system and no lasting solution, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I hope management reviews this situation and improves how recurring issues and warranty claims are handled. If this matter is properly reviewed and resolved, I would be willing to update this review.

Don't waste your time going here, they will try to make up things wrong with your car, just so they can take your money. Came here for a safety, to be told 3/4 springs were "broken" on my car, along with a few other various issues. Inspected it myself afterwards to see that none of them were broken. While half the work they quoted me was correct, the other half was made up, and clearly a poor attempt to make some money. Save yourself the time, money, and peace of mind, and take your car elsewhere.

Shocked that a highly rated local business tried to blatantly ripped me off of almost $2,000. I waited 1.5 years to make this review in case they ended up being correct . My AC stopped working, they had my car for 15 mins and told me I needed a new compressor for $1,600. I took it for a second opinion to lube a car on King St. They showed me that my AC fluid was empty! They refilled it and said let’s see how that goes. 1.5 years later, my AC has been perfect. I’ll never go back to Locke St Auto.
