We were truly thrilled to stay here and were disappointed to see the condition of the room. When we arrived the receptionist showed us to our room and made us aware of a leak. We were shocked to see that the entire floor in the room was wet and there was mold on the floor by the air conditioner. We were terrified of having a slip and fall accident as well as an asthma attack or lung infection. I would have greatly appreciated getting a heads up about this! We asked about switching rooms and were told there were no others available so we left. We wasted a great deal of time after a log day of traveling so I messaged them about expecting to receive full and prompt refund! No one ever replied back to me so I escalated it to booking.com whom sent an auto reply’s stating they would resolve in 24hrs which they did not. I ended up having to contacting American Express to do a charge back.

The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. The access to the beach is very close and the beach is beautiful. The apartment was very quiet, but the facilities were a bit sparse, especially in the kitchen. I stayed there for 4 nights and unfortunately I had no hot water for showering the whole time.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Ocean Zen Suites! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of. The suite was spotless, stylish, and had everything I needed – including a well-equipped kitchen and eco-friendly touches that show they care about sustainability.

This place mostly felt like a scam to me. There was no hot water and the front desk guy just said it was “tricky”, but if it’s so tricky that 3 guys can’t figure it out, that’s a serious problem… I can’t imagine if we booked this place for a week with no hot water. The bed was really firm and you only have a simple sheet for coverage, no comforter. I get that it’s a warm place, but it can get into the 60s at night. We had to ask for blankets. The eco claims are highly exaggerated as well. There are 3 solar panels and there’s no way they power the AC (only a little maybe). Recycled rainwater is cool but I think that’s common since drinking water is less available. The infinity pool is much smaller than it looks in pictures. The walk to the beach was nice and convenient and it was a short walk away from the busy downtown which I also appreciated.
