Customer experiences
Nice local BBQ in the middle of the stockyard. Our waitress was very friendly and even offered to give us a taste sample of their sides. Their jalapeño pasta salad was very unique and tasty. I had the shredded beef sandwich which was well made with a great bun that held it all together. She told us they make their own buns.
If you're in Oklahoma City and craving a BBQ experience that truly stands out, Oklahoma Smoke Cafe in Stockyards City is a must-visit. Their Tomahawk steak is the crown jewel—thick-cut, beautifully smoked, and bursting with flavor. It’s tender, juicy, and has a smoky crust that adds the perfect char. This isn’t just a great steak—it’s the kind of dish that defines what a top-tier BBQ restaurant should be. The portion is generous, the seasoning is spot-on, and the quality is unmatched. Other BBQ spots and steakhouse should be rated against this—it’s that good. The sides are just as impressive, and the staff makes you feel right at home with warm, attentive service. Whether you're a local or just passing through Stockyards City, this place delivers a BBQ experience you won’t forget. Highly recommended!
I’m in town for work and didn’t really feel like going anywhere, so I decided to order some barbecue through Uber Eats from Oklahoma Smoke. I got the two meat plate with pork ribs and sliced brisket, along with mac and cheese and barbecue beans as my sides. I also added chicharrones and a side of hot links. When my food arrived, my sides were missing. No mac and cheese, no beans. So I ended up with just a box full of meat. The brisket was a little dry, and the ribs were really dry. The meat by itself was very bland. I want to be able to eat barbecue that tastes great on its own because good barbecue doesn’t need sauce to be good, but this absolutely required barbecue sauce to have any flavor, and I’m just not down for that. People talk a lot about good barbecue around here, mostly in Texas, but Oklahoma gets mentioned too, and I was hoping to be impressed. Unfortunately, I wasn’t. It was just okay at best, and honestly, I wouldn’t order it again. I’m really upset about my sides. It would be nice to have some sides to accompany all of this meat I’m eating.
So, to be clear, I highly recommend this place. Been there plenty of times and can say; The food is great. It's never crowded. Be prepared for it to be cold in there. It's not their fault. We had the Pitmaster's Choice. See the picture. It was fantastic. Really really good!
