The reading room has a reading nook that you never find anymore, the store is extremely cozy, its stocked with an incredible selection of titles, youre hosted by friendly, enthusiastic staff, and you'll find an amazing local author spotlight unlike any other in the region. Places like this are in dire need of support and I hope they find the local literary audience that will rally behind them and give them the business they deserve.
A CervantesIf you are driving around the coast and make a stop in Monterey and you find yourself wanting a John Steinbeck read to complete the trip…. Then you should stop by here. They have a great book selection, all types of books. We enjoyed our time there. We spent around an hr or so to check the books they have available. I will definitely be coming back to complete my search. They also have one of the best selections I’ve seen on critical race studies. Found an amazing book to gift my mom regarding Trova.

EspereraiOverall very nice book store, easy to find across the street from Montery transit center. I didn't find much that Interested me in the book store. However the staff was nice and helpful. The store smells pleasantly like old books from a library. There is plenty of space to walk around in unlike other used book stores in the area.
