Customer experiences
Love my Nova Craft 17 ft prospector canoe in Moon Blue. Mike was amazing in helping me out. Very knowledgeable, plus showed me around helping me decide what I needed. Upon pick up his wife was very helping in helping me secure my new canoe to the roof of my car with NRS Tie down straps. Highly recommend Old Creel and Canoe to anyone interested in buying a kayak or Canoe.
I recently purchased a beautiful 16' Esquif canoe from Mike at Old Creel. They had the canoe I was looking for in stock! They were great to deal with and answered all the questions I had. I highly recommend Old Creel for your canoe and kayak needs!
Stopped in to this local and independent business/shop to explore options for a new canoe. Mike could not have been more friendly and helpful. He took us through options to suit our needs and made positive recommendations. He was amenable to follow up questions and was not pushy in his approach. Upon purchasing a 16’ canoe from him, he was also very helpful and accommodating to supporting our needs for getting the craft home. A all around very positive experience. We strongly endorse Old Creel Canoe & Kayak! We will return there in the future. ‘Buy Canadian!’
This is the place to go if you're in the market for a canoe/kayak. Firstly, you should absolutely try-before-you-buy on the lake. To be honest, as a novice paddler who figured he wouldn't be able to tell the difference, I had assumed that test-paddling was a bit of a formality — but I was glad I did because, on a slightly breezy day, I was actually able to discern big differences between two similar models, and ended up with the slightly shorter boat than what I was planning on getting (it saved me a bit of money, too). Also have to admit, as someone about to drop $1,000s on a canoe plus all the trappings, I was going to compare and cut costs where I can, but Old Creel's prices are on par with bigger outfitters and online retailers, which I'm thrilled with b/c it allows me to just shop confidently with my local experts instead of wondering if I should be hunting around. This applied to the canoe, roof racks, PFDs, and small accessories. On top of everything Krystle & Mike are a pleasure to deal with who really take the time to help their customers. Thanks!
