Customer experiences
Bedford Springs Resort is an outstanding place to spend a few days. We were there in June a d just returned. Our June visit rated a score of 5 stars. Just a few slips this time resulted in a score of 4. The slips would never prevent us from returning. The grounds under the direction of Toby are pristine. The trails, of which I ran or walked all of them are superbly maintained. Be sure to visit the spring located near Redoak Lake is a must see. The Black Spring is a peaceful location and home to a massive water producing spring. Only a short hike from the parking area. ||There are small gift shops that offer a variety of items. Mary was one of the staff working there and helped me select a gift for my daughter. Very nice individual. We attempted to eat at Tilleys but learned after 2 attempts that it was close since the golf course was under green arriation. This could have been communicated since no one seemed to know why. We learned this from a server at the Frontier Tavern. Missy in the Frontier Tavern was a pleasant and energetic server. She took great care of us. ||Be sure to take the historical tour with Jungle. Yes, Jungle a superb and very knowledgeable guide. ||The room was well maintained. Did show a little wear but had all that you will need. A couple of slips here for us. Coffee maker stopped working but was replaced and there were no robes in the room. Yes, minor issues.||My wife's spa treatment was super. Sorry I don't remember the therapist's name. Thus, only a few minor slips but overall we truly enjoyed the relaxing experience. We will return next year.
Bedford Springs is a beautiful resort. A very easy drive from Pittsburgh! The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food is incredible! I ate dinner at The Crystal Room and 1796 and the meals were very generous, cooked perfectly, and delicious. I walked the Heritage Trail and thoroughly enjoyed the Serenity Spa Treatment. And, I enjoyed an Amaro sitting by the fire!
We stayed at the Omni for the Columbus Day holiday weekend and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, everyone — from the valet to the recreation team and beyond — was so kind, respectful, and friendly. You can really tell the staff care about the guests. One of the things that stood out the most was how full of history the hotel is. Every corner seems to have its own story, and it was so fun walking around and discovering all the little details and historic charm throughout the property. Our trip had two main highlights: the indoor pool and the spa. We spent a lot of time enjoying both. The pool area was so relaxing, and the massage we got at the spa was absolutely perfect, one of the best we’ve ever had! The spa itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. We also tried two of the restaurants on-site, Tillie’s at the Clubhouse and the Frontier Tavern, and both were wonderful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere cozy, and we really enjoyed every meal. Outside the hotel, we also found two local gems worth mentioning: UpTown Café & Bakery and Horn O Plenty. Both were amazing and definitely worth checking out if you have some extra time. Overall, we had such a great experience at the Omni. The combination of friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and rich history made our stay really special. We’ll definitely be coming back again, we had a blast! 🤩 Big thanks to everyone at the Omni for making our weekend so memorable. ❤️
Not a place for an afternoon coffee break! A latte - perhaps $8 or so was served in an old short Homer Laughlin coffee cup with no underlying saucer. I do t expect even the most basic foam design but would like it hot. Our kind server Missy said that they no longer have saucers for service leaving us to deal with coffee spilling over the edge onto the table. We had to ansk for spoons for our coffee too. Expect more at upscale resort. The lemon raspberry cake was exceptional and big enough for two to share. Note to manager - the Fiesta outlet in WV has bins full of inexpensive Homer Laughlin service wear. Sure you could find better mugs/cups/saucers.
