Otto Fitness Center

I was initially excited to find a well-equipped, quiet gym on post that fit my early morning workout schedule. The facility itself is clean, the equipment is in great condition, and I appreciate the low traffic during peak times. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly soured when I was interrupted mid-workout by a staff member, specifically, a cleaning employee—who told me to leave due to a small portion of my midriff being visible while using the treadmill. To be clear, I was wearing standard athletic attire, and any exposure was incidental and minimal, occurring only during certain movements. I felt unfairly singled out, especially given that my clothing met typical gym standards and was appropriate for the activity. The manner in which this was handled felt abrupt and discouraging. It left me embarrassed and unwelcome, which is the opposite of what a community fitness center should foster. I won’t be returning to this gym, which is disappointing given the quality of the space. I hope leadership will revisit the dress code policy, clarify enforcement procedures, and ensure all patrons are treated with respect and consistency.

Otto fitness meets my needs for physical activity. The equipment is top notch and in good working order. They include free weights, various weight machines and an excellent selection of aerobic equipment. Another plus is its location provides access to multiple running tracks and roads that are user friendly for jogging and walking.

Good gym. Really clean newer weights. No real crossfit area. Big cardio area with treadmill, Jacob's ladder, bikes and elliptical
