Customer experiences
What a Gem! and a Chicago staple!! Right as you walk in, the place has an old school Chicago feel. First one in the restaurant right when they opened, staff was super friendly. It got packed quickly!! We ended up getting just the bread and a large cheese pizza, thin cracker the "tavern style" pizza is traditionally a Chicago classic baby. The bread was fresh hot and perfect appetizer, However, man that crust was so thin loved it! Perfect amount of cheese and sauce baked perfectly! 100% recommend!
Classic cracker thin tavern style pizza. It’s amazing how well the crust holds up with multiple toppings. No fear of soggy squares here as Pats Chicago classic (sausage, green peppers, onions, mushrooms) stood up to the undercarriage test. The seafood pasta was delicious and highly recommend. Their ranch dressing is very thick, like an aioli almost. Surprise hit Their service is always exceptional.
I was brought here due to raving reviews about the snap-thin crust and was looking forward to try it. Though the cesar salad looked beautiful, it tasted like dry bagged lettuce and had stale croutons to match. The pizza was not terrible, and in fact was piping hot. But it was not what had been raved about with the crust. It was not bad tasting pizza, but overall the experience was underwhelming. The ambiance was quiet upon entering which was strange, I think light music could help. The servers were racing around and working hard, but it was more about getting the food to the table quickly, and actual customer service is minimal. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
We had the best Italian dinner experience at Pat’s Pizza! Let me just start with the calamari — the fried version was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of breading. Paired with their delicious marinara sauce, it was an amazing start to the meal. But the real standout? The grilled calamari. Absolutely next level — packed with flavor and served in a sauce so good I had to order brown bread just to soak up every last drop. The bread came out fresh, piping hot, and the butter they serve with it? To. Die. For. Don’t skip it — start your meal with that combo and thank me later. We also ordered a medium pizza, half “pack special” (sausage, green peppers, mushrooms) and half pepperoni — just the right size for a family of four. Great crust, great flavor, and it really hit the spot. The place itself is charming, cozy, and the service was warm and attentive. I’ve officially found my spot for a relaxed, satisfying Italian dinner with the fam. Can’t wait to come back!
