Customer experiences
I appreciate the services your institution provides, but I’d like to share some feedback as a customer. Currently, the lack of evening or weekend hours makes it difficult to access services, especially since we live in a 24/7 world where flexibility is increasingly important. I’ve also noticed a few practical challenges: the drive-thru setup is quite high for standard cars, making it less convenient for many customers; the ATM is located outside, which raises privacy and safety concerns since transactions are visible to others; and the $1.00 charge for e-transfers feels outdated, as most banks now offer this service free of charge. I believe addressing these issues would not only improve the customer experience but also help your institution remain competitive with others in the industry.
I was with this union when it the AWCU since 1977. Always had exceptionally great service. Since Pathwise took over the service has plummeted. First off, their hours of operation are now very inconvenient. No evening or Saturday hours. When you call in it takes forever to get someone on the line to talk to. Over half an hour on hold with the announcement they are having a high volume of incoming callers at this time. You get that response every time you call in. I suspect it more likely they are under staffed and volume has nothing to do with it. I have my mortgage with them as I had it with AWCU and continued when Pathwise took over. Many issues getting that processed when I moved and bought a new home. Now I applied for a line of which I was told would take three days to get approved. I sent all my documentation and asked in the email if she needed anything else. Crickets. No response. I called several times (as above on hold for ever)and left messages as the three days was past and I was on a timeline to get the line of credit. Finally contacted the manager in a panic to get an idea of what was happening with my application. It turns out the person I was dealing with had not submitted my application. Now I’m really panicked and in jeopardy of losing out on an opportunity I was working on. I was assigned a new contact but had to start the process all over again. Send in all my paper work AGAIN. Oh by the way you have to WAIT THREE DAYS AGAIN FOR APPROVAL. The whole experience was stressful and I was totally dissatisfied with their service. After forty years with this credit union, when my mortgage comes up for renewal I will be taking my business elsewhere.
I recently opened my accounts with Pathwise and the experience has been outstanding! The staff and services are exceptional. Credit unions genuinely care, offer personalized support, and are always ready to assist. They are much better than traditional banks. Highly recommended for both personal and business banking!
