Paw Street Market - North Vancouver

I’m so thankful for the staff at this store, specifically Samara who always goes out of her way for my grandmother. She always has a welcoming presence and is patient, kind, honest and helpful. My grandma doesn’t have the best memory but Samara will aid her to her usual products without rushing or pressuring her into more than what we need. The extra suggestions she has made have been very beneficial and we do enjoy trying new things out that she’s informed us on. She even assists bringing all of our purchases (usually pretty heavy, especially for a senior) to the vehicle. Top shelf customer service! The store is stocked with variety of products at great prices. They usually have everything in stock which is great as sometimes we have to do a last minute pet food run and don’t have to worry about changing anyone’s diet.

WOW! This shop is huge! Has a ton of super fun and unique toys. And rewards program for food. Staff go above and beyond in helping customers. Zoe is exceptional! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

⭐ 1 star – A serious warning to all raw food pet owners! I am writing this as a serious warning to every pet owner who cares about the health and safety of their dog. I have been buying raw dog food from this store for a long time, spending over $50–$60 every few weeks because I want my dog to eat clean, safe, and high-quality food. Unfortunately, what I experienced recently was shocking and unacceptable. The food I purchased had a different color, strange odor, and visible white particles inside — completely unlike the previous batches. When I thawed it, those white fatty spots became even more visible. I immediately returned it to the store and expected them to care, inspect, and take responsibility. Instead, I faced denial, rudeness, and total ignorance. After waiting three days, the manager called me just to say: “There’s nothing wrong with it. Raw food can always look and smell different. Unless your dog got sick, it’s not a problem.” This is absolutely horrifying. So basically, an animal must get sick first before they care? This is discrimination against animals and shows a total lack of responsibility toward pet health and food safety. Anyone who spends their hard-earned money on raw food expecting quality and care should know what kind of people are behind this store — people who clearly care only about profit, not your pet’s wellbeing. Raw food must be handled with precision and consistency — it’s not something you “guess” about. Their attitude was careless, dismissive, and completely disrespectful toward customers and animals alike. ⚠️ Please take this as a warning: If you truly love your pet and care about what they eat, do not buy raw food from this store. Your dog deserves better and businesses like this do not deserve our trust.
