Paws for Thought Dog Training

Maddie has been such a huge help for us over the years. She first worked with us back in 2022 when our dog was struggling with city noises and constant barking — she taught us a simple command that was easy to practice and made a big difference in our daily life. More recently, we reached out again for reactivity, and Maddie was so understanding and knowledgeable about the unique stressors dogs face in New York City. Everything she’s taught us has been practical, effective, and something we use every single day. Highly recommend!

Maddie was very helpful with supporting us with our dog Luna, who struggles with anxiety and aggression. Her sessions were thoughtful and her follow up videos and notes were so helpful for remembering everything and referring back to action items. While there is no magic bullet solution to behavioral issues, we are much better equipped to manage and support what our girl needs to feel comfortable and live her best life.

We found Paws for Thought when our dog was diagnosed with separation anxiety. The whole team but particularly Maddie has been a lifesaver as we’ve navigated this. We have felt very supported by the training plans and have seen significant success. Maddie has always been very responsive with daily training plans and emailed questions. It’s been a real bonus to be able to come to Maddie with other training questions not related to separation anxiety - she is really knowledgeable across the board and makes extra effort effort to learn what makes sense for you and your dog in terms of training plans. Could not recommend her or the group classes they run more highly!
