Customer experiences
We had an outstanding experience at Strasburg Animal Hospital. This was our first visit to a veterinarian in Canada, as our beloved cat, Dollar, was suffering from an allergy. Despite our appointment being at 6 PM, we were delayed due to work and called the clinic to request a reschedule for 8 PM or later. The staff was incredibly accommodating and agreed to the change despite their busy schedule. Dr. Chatrath was exceptional. He took the time to thoroughly explain Dollarās condition and the proposed treatment, answering all our questions with great patience. His friendly demeanour and genuine care for our cat were evident, and Dollar seemed to respond positively to the attention and treatment. We are grateful for the compassionate care and flexibility offered by Strasburg Animal Hospital. Thank you for making our first experience in Canada so positive and for taking such great care of Dollar.
Amazing experience at this vet. My poor cat was feeling off and had a high fever He had us come back and ran all the tests to see if we could find out what is wrong. I echo what all the others have said. I will not bring my pet to anyone else. He is not just an excellent veterinarianāhe is compassionate and honest. He is not trying to make you spend more money than you have to. Completely different than the other vet we have brought my cat to that seems like they don't care at all. His two kitties make the experience better too. They are part of the care team š
I just want to share our experience over the last 4 days. Everyone knows we have two dogs and two cats. Animals are mine and Craigs calm, grounding and our Hearts. So on Friday Rosie, while Craig and I were distracted with our work, got into our garbage and ate a good portion of a chicken carcas. Because she was still behaving normal Sat morning, we had no idea how bad or how much bones she actually ate. She didnt poop saturday after 3pm. So on Sunday after consulting with a friend, who is in school right now for a Vet Tech, we decided to take her into Strasburg Animal Hospital. Jen Santos made an appt for 1pm for us and I am eternally grateful for that appt. We met Dr. Chatral. On first impression we were calm. He is so gentle, welcoming and very informative! He explained everything he was going to do for Rosie. She was very comfortable with him and his staff. He did xrays and explained everything in great detail what we were seeing on the screen with such compassion and positivity! We have not had that kind of treatment since our vet retired. Anyone who has a dog knows how they behave when they are not right, or uncomfortable with a vet. We felt so hopeless, at some points we thought we might lose the battle and she die. But Dr. Chatral kept her calm and us calm. Even though we were scared of losing her to an impacted colon, he stayed positive. Rosie ran to him tail wagging when she had to have a second enema and IV. The staff at Strasburg Animal Hospital are amazing! Anyway, she is much better and so happy! It is amazing to have her smile again and behaving normal again! ā„ļøā„ļø5āļøs from us!!! We will definitely be going there again! P.s they have regula weekend hrs which is amazing!
We are beyond grateful for the incredible care our dog, Penny, received from Dr. T and his team. After being told by another vet that Penny only had a few months to live, we were devastated. We wanted to get a second opinion and found Dr. Tās clinic. Within 3 days of contacting his clinic, he performed the surgery Penny so desperately needed at a fraction of the cost we were originally quoted (literally a third of the price), without cutting any corners on care or compassion. From the very beginning, he was gentle and caring with Penny, and so understanding of all our worries. He addressed all of our concerns (and we must have asked him hundreds of questions). He went above and beyond to make sure Penny was okayānot just during the surgery, but afterward as well. He even came outside with us to check that Penny could walk properly, go to the washroom, and get in the car properly, which really showed how much he genuinely cares for his patients. He didnāt charge us for unnecessary extras or medications, and he continued to check in on Penny regularly for the following weeks, which gave us so much peace of mind. Penny is already doing so much better compared to how she was before the surgery. Dr. T is not just an excellent veterinarianāhe is compassionate, honest, and dedicated. Not only does he go above and beyond for his patients but for the pet parents as well. We will forever be thankful to him for saving Pennyās life and treating her and us with such kindness. We cannot recommend him and his team enough.
