I have a mini Schnauzer/Pug mix ( Nick) who I was SO frustrated with. I would walk him and my other dog 3-6 miles every morning. I loved our walks but Nick was showing some concerning behaviors that I did not know how to handle. He pulled on the leash SO hard my hand would ache after the walks, he lunged and barked at EVERY passing dog, and once a lady I knew came up to say “ hello” and Nick jumped on her like the mailman. I knew I needed guidance with him. I called Jen from Pawsitively Five Star Training and was able to meet with her almost right away. She walked Nick and within 3 minutes was able to explain his behavior. Jen said he had anxiety. She was FABULOUS!!! She took the time to show me how to redirect Nick’s attention, to praise him, and explained that he needed some training one on one with just me. At first I was SO frustrated how could I walk 2 dogs separately?!! Jen explained that it wouldn’t be easy at first but it would be worth it. I made time daily for each dog and walked them separately after my daughter got on the bus. I practiced EVERYTHING to help calm is anxiety and I was SHOCKED after only 3 weeks Nick was showing major improvements: He wasn’t pulling on his leash like he used to He wasn’t barking at other dogs like he used to He wasn’t distracted by other people and wanting to jump on them like they were the mailman He is a whole new dog🥰 I am grateful I went to Pawsitively Five Star Training Jen showed me how to take better care of my dog and now walks are fun again😊

Jen is absolutely incredible! I have a very energetic and stubborn lab puppy whom I thought would never be trainable. I found Jen and immediately fell in love with her training styles. Duke spent the weekend with her for extensive training and came back a new puppy. It was amazing the progress he made in just a few short days. Jen is absolutely the best! She helped us with our new puppy and our Lulu is doing soooo gooood! She was always a sweet dog but we needed help to stop a few behaviors that would be problematic as she got older. What a difference. The kids and puppy can now live happily ever after.
