I called Kristin Goodwin before I was actually ready to list a house because it had been a rental, and I knew it needed work before it was ready to go to market. Even before we had an official agreement, she was a treasure of amazing advice and ideas. She supplied names and contact information for people to do work on the house at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. She helped me understand what improvements would be financially worthwhile and would help the house sell quickly. At the same time, she was completely up front about the state of the housing market and tempered expectations for timeframe and what the asking price improvement could be for my investment of time and money. In short, she's the real deal -knowledgeable, connected, and turned out to be absolutely right on all counts. So, of course I listed the house with her. As I look at comps in the area, I'm thrilled with having gotten top dollar for my property. She knows her markets. She even arranged a sweet deal to have the house staged, which I firmly believe caused us to get a great offer in weeks instead of months (saving me more than the cost of staging in carrying costs). In the end, the buyers got a little unreasonable about a couple of items, and Kristin went above and beyond to keep the deal in tact and shield me from having to do a bunch of extra work I didn't have time for by liaising with the buyers' agent and a contractor on my behalf. Kristin worked her magic. I walked away happy. The buyers walked away happy. I recognize that is because Kristin Goodwin is expert at what she does. I just wish I had more houses to sell with Kristin!
