Nice cafe with a good atmosphere. I had the leek and potato pie which cost 9.50£. It was smaller than the size of a Greg’s pasty with a bit of slaw and some salad served on a side dish. I just don’t understand the rationale behind charging so much and not providing a satisfactory meal given the cost. The glass I drank from was dirty and had some bits in which I only realised later. Service was a bit slow but there were only a few of them trying to dish stuff up and serve customers and it was busy. Certainly won’t be recommending or going there again!
Fabulous afternoon tea , great value with friendly service . 11 of us plus a baby had a brilliant afternoon tea to celebrate an 85 th birthday. Everything was excellent. Plenty of tea, sandwiches and sweet stuff in a lovely pavilion. We had excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. We can highly recommend Cliff Castle pavilion. A tour around the museum after made it a wonderful occasion. We had to book in advance, but well worth it.
We visited at the weekend. Friendly staff and customers. I just had a jacket potato and latte, nothing fancy but both were very nice.
Visited today with friends for a catch up. Lovely place, friendly staff and the food was lovely. Very busy which is testament to what a nice place it is to visit.
