Great please to take your dog! Scott the Vet was brilliant , very kind man and honest person! Took a lot of care with him every time we went and also helped me get him over to the UK which was difficult but he was great ! All the other staff member as well who were so sweet with him. I’m a first-time dog owner with two dogs, and one of them recently became very sick. I’ve been out of work for a few months, so I was desperate to find affordable help. I thought VCA’s “free first exam” would be a chance to get my dog checked out, but it’s misleading — the free exam only applies to healthy pets, not sick or injured ones. When I called, they refused to see my dog because he was sick. What hurts most is that this isn’t just VCA — it’s almost every place now, from private vets to organizations like the SPCA and other rescues. They claim to help animals, but everything comes down to money. They charge high prices for adoptions, and if animals don’t get adopted, many are euthanized. It’s heartbreaking to see how little compassion there is for people and pets in real need. All I wanted was to get my sick dog help, but instead I was turned away because I couldn’t afford it. The system needs to change — pets deserve care, not conditions. to see my two happy boys and the is sick My vet was of no help I tried vca free exam what a joke My Best FRIEND has passed away before hes death this hospital rejected my call for help with their advertised free exam for fist time client but since he was unhealthy they said no i would have been fine with a bill if the free exam went threw and i could have tried more to save him instead i took him in to vet for help and that was no good all these places just want payment upfront
I absolutely love both VCA locations in Hamilton. My puppy was experiencing severe vomiting and was unable to walk. thankfully, they had a spot available. Within 10 minutes of arriving, i was in the room and Doctor Scott did an amazing job at keeping my puppy calm and diagnosing the problem. The receptionists are always so nice and a pleasure to deal with. Not to mention this feels like the only vet where they’re actually looking out for your pets and not looking to run your pockets. I highly recommend VCA for any of your pets needs.
