Extremely dissatisfied with the level of service and cover actually provided when you need to make a claim . After years of paying hefty monthly fees I needed to make a claim when my very healthy dog was injured accidentally . What I received back from my claim didn’t even cover a months insurance fee . When I tried to submit a dispute to the email address provided , it kept bouncing back saying their mailbox was undergoing maintenance ! Do not waste your money on this company , look elsewhere as I am now doing or put the money aside each month for those unpredictable times when you may need it.
My experience with Petcover forced me to cancel my insurance for two dogs. For starters, it took Petcover two weeks to even acknowledge my claim. On top of that, I was not paid in full. They're claiming that they "processed" some receipts, but they never paid them. I'm left short. Simple maths would tell anyone that I'm right but it seems to be too much to grasp. I escalated this issue to their internal dispute resolution team. The investigation was clearly done without any deep understanding of the situation and without explanation of what went wrong. During that time, they diligently took my money and sent me a renewal quote. Taking money from customers seems to be the priority. Emails sent to them seem to land in a blackhole somewhere, taking weeks to respond. Calling them never results in anything useful other than "we'll get back to you" and having to wait for weeks. Insurance matters when you need to claim, not when you want to pay. In this case, it's clear that settling claims is not something Petcover are good at.
I filled in my details for an automated quote for their pet insurance online. Then I received three calls from their representative within the same week despise not picking up (as I needed time to think about it), so I blocked their number. Soon my pet passed away, and I later received an automated text message prompting me to call them to discuss their insurance policy. I texted “stop” to opt out of their texts and I thought that was the end of it. Then a month later, I received something similar from another number and had to do the same thing again. I don’t know how many times I will have to block or opt out of their messages, but it is really frustrating and frankly insensitive for them to keep contacting me over and over, and forcing me to confront my loss just so they can try and make another deal. Would definitely not recommend providing your details to inquire about a quote, unless you’re absolutely sure about it and ready to be bombarded with their phone calls and text messages afterwards.
Worst pet insurance ever, I wanted to cancel my policy because I found another insurance that has more cover for the same amount and firstly I was told that I have to pay all the claims for the last year. Unfortunately for them my policy renew was last month without any claims. So they try to ditch you first. Then they cancel the policy straight away without asking me when I want to be the last day. So happy to cancel my policy and I will never get this insurance company never ever again. So rude
