Store is Located on 8th Avenue Place seem a bit tight and packed Great selection of beauty products, makeup Hair care Wigs Hair Extensions Open 7 days a week Monday to Sunday 10:00AM- 21:00 Sunday 11:00AM-20:00 Store looks clean and tidy Overpriced compare to other stores not too far so i’ve left without getting anything I was in the store for about 10-15 minutes without being ask or offered any help The lady behind the counter was an angry rude person

I stopped in since I was in the area for a mammogram and wanted to pick up a relaxer. I considered trying the regular-strength Mizani, since I usually use their Butter Blends but feel like my hair has gotten too used to it. I ultimately decided against it, but as I was browsing, I couldn’t help but notice the energy in the store. I intentionally stayed near one of the sales associates (the Black security guard) because I didn’t feel like dealing with the usual assumptions I’ve experienced in some Asian-owned beauty supply stores. I ended up asking for Dark & Lovely instead, but they didn’t have it, so I left without buying anything. I thanked the gentleman who helped me, and as I walked out, I also thanked the woman who had come down from the register. She responded with a dismissive “hmm hmm” while peeking into my tote, clearly checking to see if I’d taken something. I honestly wanted to laugh … of all the issues in this country, some people still cling to tired stereotypes. I’d be curious to know how many non-Black women have stolen from them without being given a second glance. It’s unlikely I’ll return, especially since they weren’t well stocked to begin with. But I did want to share my experience.

I was very happy to see this store being so close to me. The first time I stopped by was strictly to see the selection, get a good idea of product layout. The store is very clean, a great selection actually. I was impressed. They did have a product that I've been looking for, in a size more convenient for my usage. I was thrilled about this. Came to the store the next day. The staff was blocking entry into the store which was unprofessional in my opnion. So I went to the counter to ask the person, probably the owner, where I could find the product I wanted to purchase, and her attitude, deameanor was harsh. I mentioned to her to please be patient with me. At check out she was not very friendly. I mentioned to her that this was my first purchase in her store. She could be a bit warmer. If it wasn't for the size of the product that I purchased bring ideal, and I've never seen it another store or Amazon, I would NOT have made the purchase. It seems many beauty stores in the city have this apprehensive, cold, lack of customer service vibe. It's such a beautiful, clean store. Lousy attitudes, deep shade.
