First time visiting Picnic Cantina since the changeover, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The family of restaurants behind this place continues to impress; there’s truly something for every palate. We went on Friday with the family and arrived just after 3 PM for their half-price Fish Fridays. The oysters were on point as always, and the tuna tostada was the clear highlight for us, simply outstanding. The slow-cooked beef brisket tacos were next level, easily some of the best we’ve had. Even the kids loved it, which says a lot. The new cocktail menu is also fantastic and definitely worth checking out. All around, this is another little gem in Orillia. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it. We’ll definitely be back.

This place never disappoints. We’ve been here numerous times and the food and service has never diminished. From the oysters to the foie gras to the manchego and mushroom sandwich these are some of the best dishes in the region. If you’re in Orillia drop in enjoy the excellent cuisine.

5/5 Excellent place! Food is incredible, live music on Sunday, refreshing drinks, and the host Emma is so professional and has a warm personality. I spent around $110 on 5 plates and 2 drinks. Recommendations: *Mushrooms + Manchego*: Brioche-Truffled, Manchego Cheese, Delicious *Chipirones * Chorizo-stuffed Squid and Saffron Aioli *Octopus Tapas*: A big piece with a well-made salsa. *Duck Confit* The meat is like butter, must try it! *Scallop Ceviche* well seasoned and fresh. comes with tortilla chips. Again, this is not just a tourist place, is a restaurant with identity and history, you can feel the ambience even when you enter. I will definitely come back.

Fabulous meal with friends celebrating a birthday. All of our first time. Our server was only on his second shift abs was fabulous!! Meals were loved by everyone! Bought a foccacia to take home, we shared scallop ceviche, foie gras, trout dip, confit duck leg, amongst other incredible items. Will 100% recommend and definitely be back!
