Customer experiences
Great clinic on campus, conveniently next to the pharmacy and now they added a scheduler, which is a blessing as the phone system is messy sometimes. Ms Erica, the scheduling coordinator is personable, kind, compassionate and highly responsive. Her service is greatly appreciated!
The staff was very caring, helpful, and attentive when I went in with what turned out to be appendicitis. The nurse I spoke to was extremely concerned about my condition, and the doctor I saw shortly after was great as well, made an accurate diagnosis, and told me to get to an ER "right now." They care and they are professionals.
This Clinic (Dr. Cho) often orders tests and/or recommends drugs/procedures even when not needed. The nurses will insure that they are just very thorough when it is essentially unneeded care, mainly because the Physicians are poorly trained. Be cautious in the care you receive, a common cold ended up costing you $120 in additional lab fees due to blood work and other test that were deemed unnecessary. Dr. Cho is also highly unprofessional once telling a patient as she walked out the door that she was pregnant then laughing and said “I’m just kidding”.
Another 1 star review for Dr. Cho due to expensive, unnecessary tests. I went in for the first time because I wasn't feeling well. The nurse took my temperature before Dr. Cho got to the room. It was normal and the nurse said [multiple times] "no fever, no flu". Yet, Dr. Cho orders a $400 flu test that came back negative for the flu. After multiple attempts with Emory billing, they would not recognize what a waste of money this was for me and that Dr. Cho seems to have a problem. I will never go back to this clinic (or any other Emory facility) and neither will any of my coworkers. Their billing department even had the audacity to imply they are a teaching facility and that's why they charge more. Really?? $400 for a flu test because you're a teaching facility?
Piedmont Primary Care of Summerhill is a medical clinic.
