I've used venture pest control for several years for all pest related issues as well as rodent control. Recently we started seeing mice/rat droppings so we called them to come out. A different technician came out to evaluate and to put the baits in the attic as well as outside. Upon checking the outside bait boxes it was empty which caused an issue in the attic with mice/rat/chipmunk where we have to clean all the droppings and there were a lot. Technician that came out today was honest and I appreciated him being truthful and it made sense since we had no issues past 8 years until now. When I called Venture, spoke to Quentin first and without confirming with other technicians he started making excuses and kept saying the baits were refilled, then I spoke to Catie she also made the same assumption without taking responsibility. We've never had rodent droppings until now and we have to spend money and time to get our attic cleaned and get electrian to fix wiring since they chewed up bathroom light wiring. Both made no attempt to try to resolve the issue nor try to confirm with the technician who came by 04/28/25 @ 4:47pm and left at 5:16pm. They don't know we have several ring cameras outside the house and I watched over and over just to make sure and the baits were NEVER REFILLED. I couldn't believe how they didn't want to take any ownership or responsibility whether this was an honest mistake or not. This was totally preventable of baits were refilled but they refused to own up. Catie hung up the phone and said they are closing my account. They've already charged me for the quarter so they can't legally close my account unless provide me a refund. They even raised quarterly fee without notice from $108 to $118. Be aware of this company, there are plenty of honest and good pest control companies who will do the right thing for the customers.
The employees are very polite, professional, and knowledgeable with recommendations up front. The company only provides free termite inspections for existing (paying) customers so I had to start regular pest service before getting termite inspection & service quote. A bit annoying but I was planning to get both services anyway so it worked out ok in the end. Happy to employ another local, family owned business.
Would not recommend!!! They have been a nightmare to deal with. They promised my husband that they would do both interior and exterior, that did not occur. We can see on our cameras when they come, and they only do the outside and are here for a very short time. They do not ring the bell or attempt to come into the interior of the home. My husband called in the Fall to cancel the service. They still came and again only did the outside. My husband contacted the Service Manager numerous times and explained that we are not paying bc he cancelled the service and again they did not come into the home. We had spider webs and nests all over the exterior even after they sprayed. We have provided them numerous opportunities to manage out pest control. After several past due notices, I contacted the Service Manager and asked to speak to the owner. He would not provide me with his name and said that he does not call customers. Today I recvd a call from a “collection” company. I contacted Venture and advised them that they can spray the interior and the exterior and we will pay them. Women who answered the phone said that she cannot do that bc it’s a new quarter. Asked for Service Manager to contact me. This is becoming a little annoying over pest control, lack of communication with owner and now threats from “collection” agencies over $121. I will pay when the service is complete and file complaints with the BBB should they continue with this horrible service. They will not threaten me with a "collection" call. We just want to be rid of this company. Even when they sprayed outside it never resolved any issues. Waste of money and then they harass you for services not rendered. Clearly, they do not comprehend what cancel service means. There is no reason for them to be harassing us.
