While Pierce Fitness is a new gym, I have been coming to Bryan for personal training since 2017. The fact that I left a gym 5 minutes from my home to come to his gym across town should say enough, but I’ll say more anyways. The format of these workouts (both the group classes and semi-private training sessions) is an excellent combination of personalized attention plus supportive community. The classes are never so big that you become a face in the crowd. They are always small enough for each person to receive individual feedback and modifications. Plus, group workouts change weekly to keep things fresh and engaging. The semi-private sessions are completely individualized, and it’s nice to still have a couple of workout buddies for them too. The community that Bryan fosters in his gym is a huge motivator to keep coming in. The accountability of scheduling each session is also incredibly helpful. I had never managed any kind of consistency in my workouts until working with Bryan, and 8 years later I rarely miss a session. I genuinely look forward to coming to the gym, which I never would have believed before. The years of consistency have paid off in strength, fitness, and confidence! I never would have imagined I was capable of deadlifting 505lbs!! Bryan is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, cares deeply for his clients, and is also just a wonderful person to be around. He is always ready to explain why an exercise is beneficial, both from a general and personalized perspective, and it is evident that he keeps himself up-to-date with the latest research. His knowledge extends well beyond exercise into other aspects of wellness like nutrition, sleep, and stress management. Bryan builds training plans with a great balance of being approachable, challenging, varied, and fun. Plus, he always brings a sense of humour that is oh-so-effective to counter any complaining I may do about my less-than-favourite exercises! I have dealt with various injuries over my time as his client, and Bryan is never out of ideas for how to adapt my workouts to not only be pain-free, but also to actively support my recovery. I really notice the difference this makes in my recovery! The combination of the gym with the clinic at Pierce Wellness and Fitness Centre speaks to his commitment to collaborative care, both for injury recovery and general maintenance. While I have yet to work with any of the other trainers at Pierce Fitness personally, I have the utmost confidence that any team built by Bryan will be a team of the best! I truly could not recommend Pierce Fitness any more highly to anyone of any fitness level, beginner to pro! If you are considering joining, take the leap and reap the benefits!
Absolutely love this gym! The community here is incredibly welcoming and supportive! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you belong, no matter what kind of shape you're in. The coaches are awesome, knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in helping you hit your goals. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, there's something for everyone. It’s the kind of place that pushes you in all the right ways and keeps you coming back. Couldn’t ask for a better environment to train in!
Fantastic gym and trainers! The atmosphere is great and the workouts are challenging but fun. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and work with your skill level to give you the most effective workouts to achieve your desired results. There are so many positive things about this gym! A must try!!
