Went for a safety certification, but they asked me to replace brake pads and other parts just to pass, even though my car is regularly maintained. They quoted around $350 for the repairs. I ended up paying $40 for nothing. I decided to visit another mechanic for a second opinion and paid $100 for the safety inspection — the mechanic test-drove the car and found no issues at all. This place feels like a scam.

I visited RPM Motors on Saturday, April 26th, after calling ahead to confirm an appointment for a safety inspection. I arrived at 12:30 PM, driving two hours from Belleville. After waiting for some time, a mechanic (possibly named Balpreet)I am not pretty sure the name but tall guy with patka,inspected my car and told me everything was fine except the rear drums, which he said needed replacement for $200. I agreed to proceed with the work. After waiting for about half an hour, the mechanic asked if I could come back Monday. I explained I had come from far and had already called ahead. Around 2:30 PM, he said the part would arrive in an hour. I even offered to bring the part myself, but he refused. Later, he said they could not upload the safety certification after 4 PM on Saturdays. In the end, I had to leave without the safety certificate, and he charged me $40 for the inspection. I paid, understanding he had spent time on the car, but I felt it was unfair since I was there on time and had followed their instructions. When I visited another shop afterward, they told me that safety certificates can be uploaded online at any time, and also that my rear drums were fine and didn’t need replacement. Overall, I was very disappointed with RPM Motors’ service. I felt misled, my time was wasted, and I was nearly charged for unnecessary repairs. I just wanted to share my experience so others can be careful before visiting. And I have attached the picture of safety from another shop who stated safety at 4 pm
