We popped into Plate at The Bird on Sunday for a proper roast dinner, and what a treat it was. Knowing it would be busy, we sensibly booked earlier in the day, a rare moment of organisation on our part. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated, and our orders were taken with impressive efficiency. The staff were brilliant, attentive without being overbearing, and always on hand with a smile. The restaurant itself, tucked under The Bird hotel, has a quirky yet stylish feel with plenty of character. There is also outdoor seating for those brave enough to trust the British weather. Now, onto the main event, the food. Absolutely fantastic. Every bite was packed with flavour, the roast was cooked to perfection, and we left thoroughly satisfied and slightly in need of a nap. Next time we are in Bath, we will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

From the warm and friendly greeting in reception to the beautiful art displayed in the restaurant, this place will impress you from the moment you step into it. The food is AMAZING - beautifully presented, good sized portions and above all prepared and cooked to perfection. The Plate was the ideal setting for our 5 year anniversary. Excellent service from Chris and the rest of the team. Really lucky to have had the opportunity to visit and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Where can you start? The staff fantastic nothing too.much trouble from changing our booking from the dome to the terrace, as they believed the dome would have temperature of over 50c and would be unhealthy Food very good,fish and chips, burger a tomato salad and I had the place. Well presented and tasty After dinner retire to the bar and an excellent barman Joel who knows his gins vodka and cocktails. Good to have a chat with and his memory is brilliant. We came in the second night and the drinks appeared. Truly and asset. The restaurant is good for breakfasts with many options that you can order so that your breakfast is personalised

We booked afternoon tea at The Bird Bath to round off our day trip to the Christmas market, having read about the hotel on the VisitBath website. I booked by phone and Harmony couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly so I was optimistic it would be a lovely experience. We were not disappointed! A warm welcome and a smile from the moment we arrived. The restaurant is downstairs and was beautifully decorated for Christmas; baubles everywhere amongst the already very cool decor. Friendly and efficient staff looked after us. Champagne, nice choice of beverage and the most beautiful selection of food on a birdcage tiered stand. Fresh sandwiches with tasty fillings for both veggie and meat eaters. The most amazingly light and tasty scones with jam and clotted cream and outstanding pastries. Really superb value at £40 per person with a refill of tea and a glass of champagne. Would definitely come again.
