Pocketchange Bar

Atmosphere is great… But I went this week with a friend and sat there for almost 20/30 minutes until someone came to ask us for our drinks order. After I think they noticed the waitress was helping everyone else around us and not us who sat down first. When we got our drinks we ordered some food, the dumplings come with a peanut sauce and we asked for them without. When it finally came out there was sauce on it, when we made that comment to the waiter he took it into the back and came back two seconds later with the dumplings thrown on a plate- clearly just removed from the previous plate. I made the comment to my friend thank god neither of us were allergic. About an hour later we finally got the rest of our food. The nachos. I had heard great things about the nachos. They were cold. And not just cold, they seemed to have sat in the back for a long while as the cheese had hardened so much that it was difficult to separate. We were there for over two hours, probably close to three. Two drinks, and disappointing food.

We went there to catch up with an old friend…. And did what one should never do 😅 ask for a non alcoholic drink 😂but the bartender lady was so sweet to make us an amazing drink! They know what they’re doing with the drinks so totally worth the visit! And it’s reasonable too ☺️ She was extremely patient with us and even made us nachos that usually are topped with pork but since I don’t eat it she gave it on the side 🥹

We visited Pocketchange to check out their Christmas pop up bar. The atmosphere was wonderful and I tried the eggnog drink(holiday special) and the nachos, they were really good. The only downside was that we did have to wait for a while before the bartender took our order, it was evident that they were quite busy but the owner, Connor stepped in and really turned the experience around. Overall it was a lovely evening and we will be back soon💕
