Everything was excellent except for the special - the squid ink risotto with lobster. The risotto was not as flavourful as I had expected. It was a little bland. Had a really lovely meal at Ponte Vecchio and my partner said that the porchetta was exceptional, melt in the mouth with a crispy exterior! I really enjoyed my meal, although, I did notice my mussels were very small and a bit grainy, the table next to me had beautiful large plump mussels which the chap kept commenting were absolutely amazing. I must have received a different batch as none of mine from my starter or my main were the big plump mussels he received so I did feel a tad disappointed by that as visually they looked very appealing. However, I still enjoyed my meal greatly, the flavours were lovely and I have to say the burrata starter with onion puree was a delicious surprise. It’s clear the head chef Valeria puts a lot of love in to the menu and the food!
