I recently purchased a new garage door from Dodds after my old garage door spring broke suddenly. I was very impressed with their speedy repair service and the high quality insulated door with aluminum capping. I highly recommend Dodds garage doors for anyone who needs a new customized garage door that's made in Canada. Many thanks to Stan, Paulo, Yuri, Zaza and Monica for making the entire process from start to finish very smooth, which exceeded my expectations.

Dodds is great from start to finish. I was able to get an appointment a day after I called the office. I love that we are notified when the technician is on their way. Sam arrived promptly and was so professional. He assessed the condition of my garage door/opener/hinges/rollers and advised me on the best course of action. He completed the work quickly to a high standard!! Very satisfied with the service and would absolutely recommend Dodds Garage Doors! Thanks so much Sam!!

Excellent work. Dan arrived on schedule and completed the repair with little effort! Thanks Dan! I needed a follow up appointment to install a garage door opener and door tune up. Again, Dan arrived as promised and provided me with excellent service. He was knowledgeable, clean and efficient. Thanks again Dan!! I also want to give a shout out to Nicola, the customer service rep. She was able to accommodate my needs. My car was trapped in the garage so I needed prompt service. Nicola was able to get me a timely appointment for the initial repair as well as for the follow up installation. Thanks Nicola!!

Follow-up: After 1.5 years, the cable on handle for manual opener of the garage door has been partially cut and I have contacted the office for repair. I thought that it would be covered by the life time warranty. The office lady, Dhvani told me it was not covered and asked about $246.50+taxes with labour and parts. So, I have contacted my sales rep Trevor for warranty details. Apparently, it should be covered under the warranty and Dhvani called me back and changed her words, it would be covered but not the labour as said in my initial contract. Hence, I agreed about paying for the labour. In thinking of my previous garage door that lasted for more than 10 years with no issues on the cable of the door handle, it is very questionable about the qualify of Dodds garage door handle and cable that is starting to cut after 1.5 years(a photo attached). Labour fee alone is $189+taxes. For those who is willing to pay for some extras because of life time warranty of Dodds, like me (which was more than 20% more expensive than other competitors at the time), this needs to be considered. The technician, Will, provided a great service of repairing with a thicker cable, though. Updates: they followed up the recent installation of capping with issues of sealing and colour differences. Although the salesperson is busy to follow up, others like project manager Vicky and VP Carlos follow up with issues. I am changing my rate of review to 4 stars to reflect their efforts and caring even after all is done. Well, now I am looking forward to their life-long services. Previous uploaded review ————————— I was so pleased with their saying ‘a lifetime warranty’ for garage doors and signed contracts prepared by Trevor - a single garage door and matching front door to the house. Initially there were some missing information and all but generally alright until the installation date. Although I have requested to replace all and made sure it includes ‘frame’, later I found out ‘frame’ does not mean the wooden frame around the door. They don’t replace it but do ‘capping’. I called up Trevor 3 times to place the order and get a proper quote. When I called he said he will get back to me on that day after talking to the manager. He never returned my call. 2 weeks later I reached up the office and get a quote. It was more expensive than other companies, but Dodds said it will be the same colour since they installed the garage door, while others said no guarantee since all manufacturers have different colour for grey. Hence, I chose Dodds again. The installer came - a subcontractor of course - and did the job. It was quite wiggly and had very ugly-thick silicon seals on top, photos attached. He said that is the best he can do. When I complain about colour which was greenish-yellowish grey, he said it could not be the same as manufacturers are different. Since the office knows that I have complains, they did not even bother to call and confirm my satisfaction on the job. They just sent an invoice to email and took out money from my credit card. Now I am questioning why I have chosen Dodds with extra costs and worse services. They do not paint and hire all different suncontractors with different materials from different manufacturers. The sales person does not respond for several weeks. I gave up calling him after several attempts of phone calls, messages and texts. Colours do not match. You might think white would be okay but no! They installed the front door - outside grey and inside white. The wooden frame was all prime-painted white while the colour of the door inside is bluish white - photo attached. I am hoping, at least, their lifetime warranty is meaningful at some point. I put 2 stars instead of 1 because doors works fine - a bit heavy but fine.
