Customer experiences
I was bar-hopping in Montreal with my family, and this was our first stop. We really liked the atmosphere. I ordered a cocktail called Bad Bunny, a take on a margarita, and it was delicious. We ordered the fries and warm olives. When the food arrived, the food runner accidentally dropped mayo all over my parents’ jackets. The hostess was very helpful and cleaned their jackets. As a restaurant manager, I understand that accidents happen, but I would have comped the food. I also would not have added an automatic 18% gratuity to the bill. I would have tipped 18% anyway because I’m in the same industry (and we were a group of 7), but I wouldn’t have applied auto-gratuity. Overall, the place was nice, and the hostess and server were very helpful, but I would have handled the situation differently.
It's an ok place. It's pretty looking not too expensive. Limited menu and nothing much to share. We had a plate of charcuterie and omg half of it was unedible to us, way to many type of onion and capers, not enough nuts and crackers or jam. It was bar far the worse I had but it did look beautiful. Their pizza menu is great but you always have to tweak it. Service is good but nothing very personalized.
Pretty cool spot with a name to match. Nice and quiet since it is on the pedestrian st, but there was some construction going during the day next door. Fun vibes, one of the neatest bathrooms I've been in. Good spot to stop in the evening, though the sun can get intense. We ordered a pizza and a couple of drinks. The White 4 Pizza (Prosciutto, artichoke, pear, honey drizzle) was delicious and perfect for the warm day. Waiter was responsive and friendly. The condition of the furniture left something to be desired as our almost 4 year old daughter sat in the chair and it almost fell out from under her because it was broken. Other than the upkeep of the place, the service was great, the food was really good, and the drink menu was expansive and creative.
We ate in the basement area Jackalope for dinner with friends and got a variety of apps and mains. We had mussels, parm fries, lamb skewers and veg dumplings. All were tasty! Our friends tried the lobster and pork belly linguine and had a pizza which they both loved. We split churros for dessert - the dulce de leche was absolutely lovely. Cocktails were well made and the general feel of the space made it really cozy in our booth. We left just before it turned into the night club/bar style at 10:30 PM with a DJ!
