I began my immigration process with this law firm in late 2022 and paid approximately $2,000–$4,000 to start my case. Initially, everything seemed to be progressing well, and my first application was approved within about a year. The issues began with my second application, which was for Military Parole in Place. I submitted all required documents and paid the full fee upfront. The only item missing at the time was my passport photo. I obtained the photo the same day from Walgreens and delivered it to the office, leaving it with the front desk as instructed. After nearly two months passed without receiving any confirmation or tracking information that my application had been sent, I contacted Irma, the person handling my case, to ask for an update. I was told that they were still waiting for me to submit my passport photo. I explained that I had already dropped it off two months earlier. After checking with the front office, they confirmed that my passport photo had been sitting there the entire time and had not been processed. Nearly a year went by after that with no approval. When I contacted the law firm to ask if they could submit an inquiry to USCIS on my behalf, I was repeatedly told to “just wait.” At that point, I contacted my congressman’s office on my own. They were far more helpful and responsive than the law firm and were able to contact USCIS directly. As a result, my Military Parole in Place was approved within one month of reaching out to my congressman. Due to ongoing issues, I requested a different attorney, as my case manager was extremely unresponsive. I frequently called the office and was told she was busy and would call me back, but I rarely, if ever, received return calls. I often had to call multiple times just to get an update. Ultimately, I completed my Adjustment of Status application on my own, with assistance from my congressman’s office, and it was approved within five months. In the end, I spent several thousand dollars on this law firm with very little meaningful assistance. Overall, I found this firm to be unprofessional. Negligence Over the course of two years, my case was assigned to three different attorneys, communication was poor, follow-ups were lacking, and the cost did not reflect the level of service provided.

I was recommended to Atty Martha by a couple friends, scheduled consultation asked if it was necessary my partner to come with me they said no it was fine if I went alone she asked a few questions and advised we request a report from FBI for $1000; $500 to start and the other $500 once results came which she stated took a few months 2-3 months and also said there was questions she needed to ask him directly (after staff told me I could go alone). She did inform me she was having a medical procedure soon and would be out the office but her staff would take care of us (Nancy was who she introduced me to and referred to her as an attorney). The following week we went in to make the payment and left fingerprint card this was on July 8, didn’t see any attorney just the secretary. In September I started calling to get a status update they kept putting me on hold and when I asked for Nancy she said “oh she’s an assistant not an attorney” they put me back on hold then hung up. I called the next day they told me someone would call me back but she also told me the results I was waiting on could take from 6 months to a year, nobody called me back. I then called once again and demanded to speak to someone other than a receptionist or secretary about an hour later they retuned my call and informed me the request had been made but those requests take anywhere from 6 months to a year which was completely different from what the attorney told me she never told me It would take that long but she assured me the request had been made. In October I decided to consult with another attorney which also advised I do this research request for only $500, I then went back to Garza and asked for some type of documentation confirming such request had been made, one of the assistant attended us she gave me cover letter dated SEPTEMBER 12!!!! And the first thing she told me was “you have a balance of $500” I told her do you have the results she said no! 🙄 At this point I was SURE this is not a professional establishment and I was wasting my time and money here! $200 consult, $50 fingerprints, and $500 for research down the drain. The staff’s unprofessionalism is at fault ! Save your consult fee and visit another attorney!

My experience with Garza attorney has been wonderful. I was lost in my immigration process and didn’t know what next steps to do when a friend recommended them to me and since then I went from being a temporary resident to a permanent resident and now I am a citizen of the United States. I would highly recommend them for all your immigration services.
