I have been a loyal customer of Rengas Supermarket for the past 15 years and have always appreciated the top quality of their grocery items. However, there is a recurring issue with the wheat flour from their own brand. I raised a complaint about this four years ago but received no response. Occasionally, I found worms in some packets but chose to overlook it. However, last month, every packet I purchased was infested with worms. Despite raising the issue again, there has been no proper response from them.

One if the oldest grocery stores in Coimbatore, modified in modern retail format, well stocked with most popular brands, with staff giving good service. Also good parking space, without which you can't think of shopping here. The low rating is for two reasons. Around Covid lockdown time, they made the customer entry from the back - you walk in from the back all the way to the front (which became the exit, pick up your trolley, walk back to where you started, pick up your items from the racks, take your trolley to the front for billing abd exit. That is, the trolleys are in front near the exit, do you enter from the back, walk to the front to pick your trolley, walk back with the trolley to do your shopping. I spoke to the management a couple of times last year about having trolleys available at the point where customers come into the shop. Shifted purchases elsewhere, and visited recently after a long time . The trolleys are available only in front at the exit even now. No consideration for customers' convenience. The other reason is disappointment with a purchase. Got some tapioca, but all five had gone stale and unusable. If you are familiar with tapioca you know that they cannot be eaten after a couple if days of removing from the soil. When you buy from small vendors you can get them to cut away a small portion to confirm that they are fresh, but not in a supermarket. So low rating despite the stock, staff and parking.

A good legacy place to buy the best groceries, fruits and vegetables at a better price. Courteous staff available to help to find products and suggest alternatives.
