I went to the ‘do-it-yourself checkout’ today. I was chastised for possibly having too many items…in the end I had 30 rather than 25. The reason I prefer going to the do-it-yourself is this: in the regular isles you have to bag your own anyway and you have the experienced cashiers pushing you to bag your groceries in the 1 of 2 lanes. If your going to make me bag my own groceries just make all the cashes self serve and be done with it!

I've been shopping here for at least 20 years. Prices are always going up but they remain the lowest in the area, which is what keeps me here but I have started shopping elsewhere to get better produce elsewhere. I've seen lots of staff and come and go in this place. I can't imagine it's easy to find good part-time employees. The teens and young adults they have working there really do not enjoy their jobs and it shows. Although, I do want to say that Daniel and Scott in the bakery are exceptional. They are always willing to help with a smile. Edouard at the cash is friendly, quick and actually talks to us, unlike the other cashiers there. They want us to use the self checkout, yet they don't have enough staff there to help with the constant issues. It's frustrating when you are waiting for the one employee to finish helping the customer who clearly doesn't know how to use the self-check out. Better training on customer service would (hopefully) help.

Visited June 3rd. Disappointed by Poor Service Joe Fresh really dropped the ball. My partner spent nearly 30 minutes selecting items to try on while a female employee nearby was focused solely on tidying up. She never once acknowledged us, even though it was clear we were shopping and discussing what to try. At 10:03 PM, we approached the desk and were told the fitting rooms had closed at 10:00 PM and my partner would not be allowed to try anything on. There was no heads-up, no announcement, and no courtesy. It would have taken minimal effort to let us know they were closing soon or to offer a simple reminder. As a result, we didn’t buy anything and won’t be shopping there again. On our way out, I mentioned it to a young employee near the back cash registers. He seemed apologetic but not at all surprised, which says a lot about the store’s culture. Really disappointing experience.
