I would not recommend this company to anyone. After moving out of my rental in good condition, they withheld $550 from my security deposit for painting and minor yard maintenance. According to RI tenant laws, landlords cannot deduct from a security deposit for normal wear and tear- which includes things like routine repainting or lawn upkeep. Throughout my tenancy I never missed a rent payment and maintained the property responsibly. I was disappointed to see these UNREASONABLE deductions when my roommate and I cleaned the property from top to bottom, filled in any holes in the walls from hanging things, and even went as far as to sand them. The house was left in better condition than when we walked in on the first day. We had to move all of the previous tenants belongings to the basement such as tvs, large rugs, and furniture. The house was filthy. and wouldn't you know we had to mow the lawn the first day there because the grass was so long. Maintenance forget it. We didn't have heat for a night with a 3 year old in the house and they who knows when they were going to send someone. they sent us space heaters in the dead of winter. Our dishwasher broke about 4 times just for the same man to keep coming to fix it and it keep breaking. I could go on but I think you get the point. Renters deserve to be treated honestly and in compliance with state laws. Especially good renters such as us. I recommend future tenants review RI security deposit laws carefully and document everything when renting from this company.

I’ve been living in one of their units for only a year. Just moved out sadly I’ve lived in last home for over five years before landlord sold the house. Since day one I ran into problems with the apartments. Loud heater noises coming from basement. Very bad mold smell throughout the apartment. Broken appliances. Nails sticking out of the floor one of my kids cut their foot. Black mold on walls. They charge you for maintenance but, don’t actually fix anything reason I moved out. They don’t respond to maintenance requests but definitely never forget to send a rent reminder. Sadly thought the experience with Lyon property would of been better.

Lyon clearly cares about its tenants. Maintenance requests are fast & the team is both responsive and flexible. Not to mention the apartment is gorgeous and full of historical charm. Shout out to the owner Steve and property manager Jess Scotti for making this such a positive experience.
