I am a licensed professional Grief Counselor. I highly recommend Real Talk CT. I highly respect the founder of Real Talk, Ryan McGuire. He founded the company before virtual counseling was even a big thing. There are often times people would prefer to not leave their own home for counseling. There are lots of choices that can be made with counselors from different areas of expertise. That is truly important when it comes to counseling. The intake provider works hard to fit the right counselor with the right client. On a more personal basis, Real Talk CT was a life send to us as a family, when Covid hit. At the time our granddaughter who was only 12, had severe anxiety attacks because of the fear that if she caught Covid someone in her family might die. I suggested that my daughter get in touch with Ryan Mcguire and he was able to place her with the perfect person. It changed her life. The counselor that worked with her was absolutely amazing. I have referred many people to Real Talk and everyone has had success in their counseling process. I highly recommend this counseling practice.

I don't know how to really evaluate Real Talk as we have never been able to get an appointment with them. We were recommended to one of the clinicians there to help with a very specific issue with our son. The staff was very uncooperative when we were trying to schedule an appointment. Additionally, they did not understand or communicate with each other about the role of insurance in the care. Lastly the clinician we were originally referred to told us because of personal reason they could not treat our son and recommended we see someone else. The other therapists that were recommended did not appear to have the training to assist my son. So a process that took nearly two months has resulted in my son not getting care and us starting from the beginning again.
