My dad was here for an extended period of time. He came with multiple issues and I watched the professionals help him get off dialysis, the ventilator multiple times, as well as heal a stage 4 deep wound that occurred due to a prior hospital’s negligence. Every department, team, person, and staff member were professional, pleasant, and they worked as a team. I saw pride in everyone’s work even the maintenance staff. The tenure and wisdom were helpful and a huge comfort. I am grateful for the care and attention given to my father. I felt safe leaving him in good hands. The floor operated like a well oiled machine

My husband had a hard time coming from the hospital to RHC. He was mean, and very sick. Each caregiver that he had at RHC was so compassionate and giving, that it was overwhelming. Once Rick started to feel better, he was becoming like himself again. I’m glad everyone got to know the sweet man he normally is. Thank you all for taking such great care of him until he moved on to his next steps. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye, but each one of you has a special place in my heart. Dawn

Grateful for Regency Hospital’s Role in a Miraculous Recovery Regency Hospital in Northwest Indiana—part of the Select Medical network and one of the few LTACH facilities in the Chicagoland area—was instrumental in my mother’s recovery after she faced an 80% chance of death. The transition from UChicago Medicine to Regency was made smooth by the exceptional support of hospital liaisons Rachel and Monique, and the compassionate, hands-on leadership of VP of Nursing Sarah. During her 30-day stay, my mother endured critical setbacks—coming off pressors, feeding tube complications, and a sepsis watch requiring the intervention of the RAPID Response Team. Regency’s clinical and rehab teams were consistently responsive and kind, with strong nurse and CNA coverage. Their care and bedside presence gave us stability during an incredibly vulnerable time. After her LTACH stay, Mom safely transferred to skilled nursing rehab, where she spent 9 months building her strength. Now graduated from hospice and reunited at home with her husband, she has successfully transitioned through multiple levels of care. We are truly grateful to Regency Hospital and everyone who played a role in her miraculous journey—from ER to ICU, LTACH to rehab, and finally, home.

So My husband was at Regency for a few months. They took such good care of him The staff is top-tier I can’t tell you enough how good they staff is Sarah, the head of nurses was the best part of our stay. She explained things to me. She kept me updated on everything that was going on with him. And also help me advocate for him. All the nurses did therapy and speech therapy.Therapy was the best. I love them too. Speech therapy too when we came in. My husband was on a trach wasn’t walking. Wasn’t talking wasn’t eating by the time we left the trach was gone and he was starting to make baby steps and he starting to eat tooby far the best decision I have made During this journey If you thinking about putting a family member here think no more they going to get them together I wish we could have stayed the Garrett family thank every last person there that help us
