I went to this dentist years ago with an emergency chipped tooth, and they were initially fantastic and helpful. As I became a regular patient however, things went drastically downhill. The dental assistant was constantly berating me for my tongue piercing, as opposed to politely informing me of the risks (which I am aware of). She also was doing a scan of my teeth after a procedure which had me in tears due to the pressure on my jaw. They also wanted me to pay for a copy of my own scan which was covered. When I saw an oral surgeon for my jaw pain as it had been an ongoing issue for years, he stated my misshapen jaw joint was likely due to “excess estrogen” after making me wait an hour in office for his arrival. I had two impacted wisdom teeth with infection, and two damaged molars removed from that side of my face, and no other dentist or surgeon I’ve seen has found “excess estrogen” to be even remotely scientifically accurate. This was the final straw. When I found a new dentist, they informed me my fillings were deteriorating - an issue I’d been aware of prior to moving in state and informed the dentist at Renton Arts, however they told me my fillings were fine. I ended up needing a root canal due to the damage they ignored. They consistently dismissed my pain or discomfort, as well as the recommendations of my previous dentist, to focus on “making my smile beautiful.” To me, braces would be a chance for healthier teeth, I’m fine with my appearance. I am still dealing with the repercussions of the dismissal I received at this dentist. If you have any legitimate dental problems, I would not recommend.

I have been going to Renton Dental Arts since I was a child and have always had a great experience. From childhood to adulthood I have received excellent care. My daughter and husband are now patients as well. I cannot highly recommend Renton Dental Arts enough!

I had a couple of fillings replaced, and during the appt, they recommended to replace another one since it was cracked. So I did, and the next thing I knew, my tooth started to hurt. I went back, and they said I needed a root canal and crown. $4k later, and my tooth still hurts! They said x-rays look normal and prescribed me some antibiotics. This was back in June, and today I got a bill. I was surprised because I had paid for everything at each visit. I called the office to ask about my bill, and Alexis said my insurance didn't cover a portion on my treatment back in June. I also asked why there is an additional finance charge, and she said it's because I didn't pay my first bill. I explained to her that I hadn't received the first bill. She was frustrated and told me to hold, and then hung up on me! She called me back and I asked to speak to the manager. I shared my experience with Dannete, the office manager. Neither one of them apologized for the experience. My tooth was fine until I had the procedure. The facility is nice and clean. I guess they have to pay for it somehow. Unfortunately, you have to trust what the dentist says and hope that they are not trying to sell you on services you don't need. They got $4k from me on top of whatever they billed the insurance. I will chalk this up as a loss. It is time to find another dentist that can help alleviate my toothache.

I just have to give a shout out to the great staff at Renton Dental Arts for taking such great care of me. I had a painful toothache while at work didn’t call and walked in the staff was very welcoming and got me seen same day. The dentist, hygienist and assistants made me feel at ease and their professionalism made me feel confident knowing I’m receiving excellent care. It was refreshing coming to a front office staff that genuinely strives to make your visit comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dentist and staff that cares.
