I highly recommend John Richter & his team. John & Amanda James handled my divorce, resulting in a successful conclusion for me. This was an epic odyssey through the family law system that began in 2011. John and Amanda took the reins in 2018 one month before the trial was to begin. Due to circumstances beyond my (and his) control, the lawyer I was working with had to bow out. John & Amanda grasped the complex issues & quickly built a case, hitting the ground running. After 31 trial days & many applications plus absolutely ridiculous shenanigans from the other side, we came away successful this year. The last hurdle was 2 days in the BC Court of Appeal. John Richter has provided a free, non-rushed consultation session to us on a complicated legal matter, discussed various options on how to proceed and discussed the challenges that we may face in an open manner. Ultimately we could not hire him as the case would play out outside of BC where he does not practice law, but the advice he provided to us (for free) was invaluable for us. I would definitely hire him and his team for any cases within the BC jurisdiction! I also liked his professional assistant who picked up the phone and could schedule us a consultation with John within a few days.
