Most certainly the star attraction was the vast array of home made cakes and pastries. My Jammy Flapjack could have fed a small army. Our drinks arrived piping hot not lukewarm which seems to be the vogue at present. Will return when the weather changes for the better. On a draughty afternoon we only just managed to get a table. Plenty of seating outdoors for when the wind and rain aren't blowing. Just to let people know that cash or bank transfer only. Card transactions not available.

Loved this cafe after a long trail run in the local area. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and lovely food, what more could you want? I had a bacon roll, a sausage roll and some cake to take home for later. All great quality and the coffee was also really good! Indoor and outdoor seating, large car park and toilets all available. Some lovely walks as well if you’re not into your running. Based on my experience I would totally recommend and will be going back!

We just discovered this place for the Puffin trail. It’s a good place with lovely views. The cafe was warm and cosy, and the friendly staff was. It's easy to access by car, not far from the main road. I saw some people around the ponds with their baits, looking fun. The cake and coffee were good. You have to pay cash or bank transfer; they don't take card payments.

Saw this advertised as a walking area with lakes. Not what I was expecting and seems just for fishing. Signs saying you can't walk around the lakes or even park near the cafe (which we'd done before realising) unless fishing. Walked around the bits not near the lakes but just the edge of fields and waste ground. Someone had then parked right up to the side of my car preventing us from getting in until I pulled out - car park had plenty of room so it felt deliberate. Won't be going back again!
