first, i would like to say that i like to come here when i’m in town. i enjoy the natural products, and the plastic free options this store holds. i even worked here for a brief period in 2019. the malt ice cream is great, and i enjoy visiting to see if there’s anything new on the shelves. today, however, i was made to feel uncomfortable as i shopped. i came in as i’ve been recently debating with myself about buying some products for making matcha lattes. the stockers who were at the front of the store immediately seemed to follow me and hover over me during my visit. there was two employees keeping a sharp eye on me and i immediately felt the mood shift. i left the matcha area to check on a price and one worker immediately went to where i was and inspected the shelf. they’re trying to see if i was going to steal! i tried to ignore them, and left with my matcha tools, paying $70. i’ve never felt so uncomfortable visiting this store, and now i feel reluctant to return. i’m an indigenous woman, and today i wore clothes that i indicated i’m indigenous. please do better for future customers, i left the shop feeling gross and uncomfortable :(

From the outside, it doesn't look that appealing. Once you go inside though, you'll find the shelves are well stocked with a rather impressive selection of foods that fit special dietary preferences. Prices are steep, but not outside what one would expect for the product. It's a tight space, and does not give that modern, bright, airy feel, but products seem to have reasonable expiry dates. There's also a bulk food section, and bulk soap/body care product section. Overall, I'm impressed by this little store and appreciate its existence in this city.

Great spot for all those eco-friendly items, organic items, vegan-friendly, and other items not usually found at your regular grocery store. Highly recommend the ice cream.
