Customer experiences
A very large and bright mall with lots of occupied storefronts from your favorite mall stores. The layout of the mall is easy to follow and looks very modern. I was surprised at the number of empty storefronts considering how nice the mall is, there were less empty stores at Woodland Mall, but nonetheless this is store a great mall to spend time roaming around.
RiverTown Crossings is clearly a lot more than a bunch of stores and restaurants to a lot of people. Arrived around an hour before the noon official daily opening on a January Sunday. Already the mall had hundreds of visitors, many older mall walkers and families with young children. Impressed with how many stores were occupied plus all the other ways to engage visitors, such as video games, kiosks, and other entertainment. Dog friendly approach a plus, with all dogs we saw very well behaved. In contrast to other reviews, noting the carousel was working and only 1 escalator was being serviced. Plenty of parking and many out buildings with additional shopping opportunities. Surely the mall is showing some stresses reflecting changes in shopping over 25 years, but still a community asset.
✅ THIS MALL NEVER DISAPPOINTS! I went to visit on a Wednesday afternoon when the mall WASN'T at its busiest peak. I decided at the last spur of the moment to walk inside of the mall for exercise after ingesting a large brunch at the Cracker Barrel restaurant. In the past, I have visited this mall on the weekends and I have visited the Celebration Cinema movie theater which is conveniently located inside of this mall on the weekends. This time, it was for exercise ONLY, and I enjoyed my time at the mall as I walked around WITHOUT the hassle of a large amount of people to navigate around. It was nice to walk in a quiet mall and still enjoy FREE samples of various products from the vendors. THIS MALL NEVER DISAPPOINTS, and if you are looking for a beautiful CLEAN MALL to walk around during peak hours or non peak hours, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE Rivertown Mall located in the Grandville area of Grand Rapids Michigan. Please be advised, to check for peak hours if you are visiting to simply get exercise if you are looking to avoid huge crowds. Otherwise, if you visit during peak hours, you WILL HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME finding close parking, and you will have to walk among huge crowds which will impact brisk walking.
We really enjoy this mall! It has two levels, a variety of stores, and many different dining options. My biggest complaint is that it could use more bathrooms. Given the size, there just aren't enough.
RiverTown Crossings is a shopping mall.
