» Customer Experiences:
I was recently at the Southcenter Apple Store for the iPhone 17 launch day and was impressed. I had a time slot to pick up. There was a line, but with a reservation, I only waited about 3-5min. Then I had a apple employee check me in, verify who I was and a second person delivered the phone and new AirPods. She then gave me a quick two minute demonstration with one of the new phones on some main new features with the Pro and off I went. They were clearly running at maximum capacity and yet everything was working well and there was enough room for everyone without being over run. They did a good with the line & whole process. To be fair I timed it well and the line was much longer by the time I walked back through the mall 30 minutes later, but that’s simply a matter of demand. Previous times I’ve been there when it wasn’t as busy, it was a much quieter experience, but also top-notch.
Terrible customer service, and I was even lied to right in my face. I spent $1,599 on a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max, and when I politely asked for a shopping bag after checkout, the staff member assisting me said they were completely out of bags. That was absolutely unbelievable — an official Apple Store refusing to give a customer a bag? Even more ridiculous, I had literally seen the customer in front of me receive a bag just three minutes earlier. So I went to another staff member, who was thankfully much nicer. He asked me to wait for a moment and eventually brought me a cheap paper bag that probably cost less than $1. Overall, an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. Absolutely unacceptable.
Why do they have all these works and only 2 people at the Genius Bar! This location needs to have at least 4 people to one department I see so any workers trying to sell items or at the front can we please get more Genius Bar workers ! Apple is too big of a company to be waiting for a hr every time just to see an employee!
