Customer experiences
My father received treatment in the emergency trauma area. There was a ridiculous amount of patients in the hallways, more than any other hospital I have ever seen. Personally I think it took way too long to get into a room especially when you are a patient with multiple broken bones. The nurses were very helpful & kind which I am thankful for all of their help. The surgeons were excellent & the waiting area for surgery was comfortable w singular comfy chairs or tables with a variety of things to eat or relax. I was grateful for their surgery timeline tv on the wall & the surgeons calling to say how everything went during the procedure. A nice variety of food in their sit down cafeteria, and they also have a large Starbucks area with large tables. The nurses helped my father and did an great job at answering my questions. He even said the food was decent which is rare for hospitals in NJ. The room was super clean and quiet. Parking for this hospital on a first time basis is very confusing. I didn't know there were multiple decks for parking & I even received a ticket on the street. Overall I am grateful for all of their help. Thanks to the caring nurses and doctors for their expertise. I myself would go there for treatment.
After years of care at CHOP, we recently had our adult special needs son at RWJUH Neuroscience’s Dept for a 48 hour EEG. We could not have asked for better care! In addition to the new, clean facility, our Technologist Dina was caring, patient and friendly. Everyone we encountered from the the front desk and registration team were helpful, professional and efficient. Well done! 👍🏼
Mom went for her gallbladder surgery and it was a successful surgery but they gave her high dose of tramadol 3 times for pain! And after that she turned into a whole different person. She looked like a autistic person couldn't speak right. Trouble thinking slur speech talking too much sweats diarrhea headaches she never been like ever now they said she has to detox off that medicine tramadol and don't know when she is gonna better. Doctor Newman or neemin was his name who gave my mom tramadol she is a stroke sepsis pancreatitis colitis patient and paralyzed in her right arm this is terrible hospital and doctor.
If you want a doctor who truly cares, choose Dr. Zachary Appelbaum, MD. This summer, his compassionate listening made a difficult and confusing situation manageable. His patient-first approach was reflected in his responsiveness and his time spent educating us on vitals and treatment options. He demonstrated a dedication to my health that felt personal, not transactional.
